Cottleville Selected For New Soccer Complex

State-of-the-art facility will provide local youth soccer teams with high-quality turf for practices and games

COTTLEVILLE, MO — A new soccer complex is coming to Cottleville, Missouri. The new facility, named Cottleville City Fields, will be the first of its kind in the St. Louis region. The mission behind Cottleville City Fields is to provide all local youth soccer teams with access to affordable, premier turf fields.

“There is no denying youth soccer has gotten so complicated and competitive over the last decade,” said Amy Kohl, Owner of Cottleville City Fields and Cottleville United Soccer Coach.A facility like Cottleville City Fields combats the pressures and politics of soccer while offering these incredibly talented teams the space to train and develop at the appropriate pace and expectations. We will improve the accessibility to youth soccer by enabling teams and small clubs who are doing it differently — and I am so proud to be part of that with this land in Cottleville.”

The new 13-acre complex near downtown Cottleville has already garnered interest from several local independent clubs, including Cottleville United, Impact City FC, and Komo FC. Nearly 500 local youth soccer players from approximately 50 teams are committed to train at the new facility beginning next Spring.

Byrne & Jones Sports Construction is the lead developer of the new sports complex. Cottleville City Fields will be the first turf facility of this scale in St. Charles County dedicated to serving independent teams and clubs and suited for local league schedules.

“As the game of soccer continues to thrive in America, the need for quality fields is ever growing,” said Brad Davis, a St. Charles County native who played Major League Soccer and was a member of the U.S. Men’s National Soccer team.Cottleville City Fields are going to fill some of that need and have such a positive impact on the community. These fields are independently owned and operated and will be accessible to all players and clubs. I am happy to be part of the team bringing this project to life.”

Andy and Amy Kohl are leading the investment with plans to open sponsorship opportunities for local businesses soon. Andy is leading the development with strong partnership and collaboration with Brad Davis and Matt Hicks of Byrne & Jones Sports Construction.

Cottleville City Fields will be located at 5850 SSR-N. The new complex is set to open in Spring 2024. For more information about Cottleville City Fields, please visit cottlevillecityfields.com.
